BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Western Washington University linebacker Jesse Looker (Sr., Puyallup) has been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference defensive Player of the Week of Nov. 9-16.

Looker had seven tackles, including three for loss, and also forced a fumble to lead the Western defense, which held Western Oregon to just one touchdown in a 17-13 win, giving the Vikings their fourth conference title in the last five years.

Looker finished third on the team with 58 tackles, including nine for loss, and 3.5 sacks on the year.

Western, which finished the season 4-6, won its final three game to take the conference title.
