BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Due to large construction projects on the east side of the Western Washington University campus, changes to fan parking for WWU Athletic events in Carver Gym will be in place for the 2024-25 season.
Construction has forced our traditional parking lot (17G) to be moved offline for the foreseeable future, which has allowed us to move free fan parking even closer to Carver Gym.
SEASON TICKET PARKING will be in the 9G lot directly behind the SMATE building and is only a short walk to Carver Gym. From West College Way, turn on to Wade King Service Road and follow the road to the bottom of the hill, then turn left to lot 9G.
Fans parking in the season ticket 9G lot will follow the path between Carver Gym and the SMATE building to the front of the gym where the main entrance and ticket box office is located. A-frame boards will mark the best direct route to Carver gym.
FREE GENERAL PARKING will be in the 19G parking lot near the Campus Rec Center, which cuts in half the walk to Carver Gym from the C lots (still free parking after 4:30 pm). From West College Way, turn on to Wade King Service Road and follow the road to the bottom of the hill, then turn right to proceed to lot 19G. It is a short walk from the lot to Carver Gym through the heart of our beautiful campus. Parking is free of charge in 19G on game nights starting one hour prior to the start of the competition (6 pm for a 7 pm game/match).
With the recent parking changes and the ability to allow general fan parking in lot 19G, we will no longer be running a shuttle from the outer parking lots.
