Western Washington University kicker Robby Smith wasn't worried.
Not as he jogged on the field with a chance to win the game for the Vikings. Not when he waited while Washburn University called three timeouts in a row to fray his nerves.
And certainly not when the football left his foot, end-over-end and true dead center.
Smith's 40-yard field goal with 2.7 seconds to play lifted the Vikings past No. 15 Washburn 16-13 at Civic Stadium on Saturday.
It's the first win for Western under new head coach Robin Ross, and the first time since 1999 that the Vikings have beaten on opponent ranked in the Top 15 in the nation.
