SEATTLE, Wash. - Bethany Drake (Fr., Sandy, OR) improved her provisional national qualifying mark in the women's javelin Saturday, highlighting Western Washington University track and field performances at the Spring Break Open Meet at West Seattle Stadium.

Drake won the javelin with a throw of 142-1, improving her provisional mark to reach the NCAA Division II National Championships by 3 feet, seven inches.
