April 17, 2015 BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Molly Agrimson, a senior at La Salle Catholic College Preparatory in Milwaukie, Ore., has signed a national letter of intent to compete in women's rowing beginning this fall at Western Washington University.
Making that announcement on Wednesday, Apr. 15, was Vikings' head coach John Fuchs. "We are very excited about Molly joining our team and she will fit in nicely," said Fuchs (17th year). "We are making efforts to deepen the squad, and Molly is making history as the program's first NLI recruit. She's a good student and a fine rower."
The 5-foot-11 Agrimson has rowed the last three years for the Rose City Rowing Club in Portland, Ore., being a member of the varsity eight.
WWU has one of the top programs in NCAA Division II, winning seven national titles and finishing among the top three every year since the NCAA II national championships began in 2002.
