SEATTLE, Wash. - Junior Miranda Osadchey set a school record clearing 1.74m (5' 8.5") in the high jump to highlight the performances by Western Washington University in Saturday's SPU Indoor Qualifier Meet held at the Dempsey Indoor Center on the University of Washington campus.

Osadchey (Dupont, WA/Steilacoom) registered what should be the No. 2 mark at the NCAA Division II level while breaking the school record of 1.73m (5' 8") set by Brittany Grandy in 2012. The mark also tied for 4th-best in GNAC history.

Additional notable performances from today's meet included the following:

• Mile Shawna Troupe (Jr., Kelso, WA) recorded a PR and improved her own 4th-best time in school history finishing in 5:00.67. She just missed the NCAA II provisional qualifying mark of 5:00.30.
• High JumpOsadchey set the school record and recorded the 2nd-best mark at the NCAA II level this season clearing 1.74m (5' 8.5")...tied for the 4th-best mark in GNAC history (record is 1.77m/5' 9.75").
• Pole Vault Anna Paradee (So, Tacoma, WA/Decatur) set a PR clearing 3.66m (12') and bettered the NCAA II provisional qualifying mark of 3.55m...on the men's side J.T. Konrad (Mead, WA/Mt. Spokane) set a PR clearing 4.81m (15' 9.25"), 6th-best in WWU history and bettered his NCAA provisional qualifying mark set at the GNAC Championships last week...Jacob Hino (Jr., Yakima, WA/Eisenhower) set a PR and recorded an NCAA Provisional mark clearing 4.66m (15' 3.5").
• 60m Hurdles Travis Milbrandt (Sr., Longview, WA/Mark Morris) won the 60m hurdles in a time of 8.16.

The Vikings will learn who will participate in the 2016 NCAA II Indoor Track & Field Championships on Tuesday. The national meet is March 11-12 in Pittsburgh, Kan.
