April 1, 2016 AUSTIN, Texas - A handful of members of the Western Washington University Track & Field program competed in the prestigious Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Friday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Senior sprinter Alex Donigian (Mission Viejo, CA/Trabuco Hills/Saddleback JC/Northern Colorado) qualified 7th in the 100m dash in a wind-aided time of 10.45. He will race in the finals tomorrow in the finals of the event.
Junior Bethany Drake (Sandy, OR) finished 7th (50.29m/165') and senior Katie Reichert (Longview, WA/Kelso) was 8th (45.00m/147' 8") in the Javelin. The Viking duo were the top two placing Division II throwers in the field.
Senior Travis Milbrandt (Longview, WA/Mark Morris) placed 23rd in the 110m Hurdles in 14.55.
Junior Miranda Osadchey (DuPont, WA/Steilacoom, WA) placed 12th in the Univ/Coll High Jump clearing 1.61m (5' 3.25").
Additionally, junior Jasmine McMullin (Sequim, WA) competed in the Triple Jump at the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State in San Marcos, but did not place.
Competition for the Vikings continues tomorrow in Texas at the Texas Relays (Austin) and Bobcat Invitational (San Marcos). A majority of the Track & Field program will be in action at the Saint Martin's Invite in Lacey on Saturday.
