GAME 1 // Stanislaus State 3, WWU 0 Box Score

Freshman starting pitcher Anna Kasner allowed just 5 hits and 3 runs, with 8 strikeouts, but the Vikings were shut out 3-0 in the first game of the doubleheader.

Kasner and Stanislaus State starter Kylie Ragsdale were locked in a pitcher's duel with the game scoreless until the Warriors broke the game open with a 3-run 6th inning.

WWU was held to three hits, with the top three hitters in the lineup - Shearyna Labasan, Mackenzie Palmer, Makinlee Sellevold - each recording one hit.

Kasner was saddled with the tough-luck loss to fall to 6-4 on the season.

The Warriors scored the only runs of the game in the 6th inning, pushing across three runs off Kasner. First baseman Katelyn McDonald plated the game-winning RBI with a single to center field, and the Warriors would add a pair of insurance runs.
