Travis Connell has been a mainstay with the Western Washington University soccer program for the last 25 years, including the last 17 seasons as the women's soccer head coach.
During his time at WWU, Connell has combined for nearly 400 head coaching victories, including a 261-72-28 record for a .762 winning percentage leading the women's program since 2003.
The Vikings have risen to the top of the collegiate soccer ranks advancing to play in each of the last eight NCAA Division II Championships, compiling a 159-17-9 (.884) record dating back to the 2012 season. The Vikings have played in the NCAA II West Regional Championship match in seven of those eight seasons, winning four regional titles. Western has also combined for eight Great Northwest Athletic Conference regular-season titles and five GNAC Tournament titles.
Connell also spent 14 seasons as the Vikings head men's soccer coach from 1999-2012, compiling 125 wins and seven winning seasons. He has an overall 386-195-45 record in 31 seasons, recording 23 winning season, mentoring 29 All-Americans and 153 GNAC All-Conference selections.
