CORVALLIS, Ore. – Western Washington University senior
Eric Hamel finished 16
th in the 10,000m at the OSU High Performance Meet Friday evening at Whyte Track and Field Center.
Hamel was looking to improve his season and personal-best time in the event at the Division I meet, but fell short of his goal finishing in 31:04.54. The senior from Enumclaw recorded the 6
th-fastest time in WWU history earlier this season clocking 30:17.34 at the Ed Boitano Invitational on March 26.
Former Viking
Ed Kiolbasa, now running for the University of San Francisco, placed 6
th in the race in a personal-best time of 29:43.28. Gonzaga's Peter Hogan won the event finishing in 28:53.70.
