BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Western Washington University men's golfer
Jordan Lee earned runner-up honors at the 100
th Washington Men's Amateur held July 6-8 at Gold Mountain Golf Course in Bremerton.
The junior-to-be for the Vikings carded a 54-hole tournament total of 8-under-par 208, which included a career-low round of 9-under-par 63 in the final round. Lee's final round vaulted him up the leaderboard after opening the tournament at 1-over-par through the first 36 holes. The 63 marked the low round of the championship and set a course record on the Olympic Course at Gold Mountain. Lee carded eight birdies, one bogey and eagled the 18
th hole for his career-low 63, which included a 30 on the back nine.
Lee finished runner-up to RJ Manke of Lakewood, who shot rounds of 66-67-68 to win the historic 100th Washington Men's Amateur Championship seven strokes ahead of Lee. The product of Pepperdine University, the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Champions, Manke will complete his collegiate career at the University of Washington.
Lee and Manke were teammates for three years at Bellarmine Prep in Tacoma. During the 2020-21 season for the Vikings, Lee appeared in all six tournaments and finished with a scoring average of 75.0 (+3.13 to par). He earned Second Team All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference honors.

Conrad Brown tied for 12
th place at 3-over-par 219. Thain made a big move up the leaderboard with a 5-under-par 67 in the second round. Senior-to-be
Austin Darnell tied for 52
nd place at 14-over-par 230, with sophomore-to-be
Drew Halili and freshman-to-be
Cole Reynolds both missing the cut after the first two rounds.
At the Oregon Men's Amateur Championship, former Viking
Cody Roth advanced to the quarterfinals of match play after finishing qualifying tied for 10
th at 3-over-par 145 at Bandon Trails Golf Course.
