BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Due to an unfavorable weather forecast, the scheduled home opener for the Western Washington University softball team has switched locations.
 
WWU will now play the University of Puget Sound in a doubleheader at Logger Field in Tacoma, with first pitch of the opening game scheduled for 10:30 am on the UPS campus.
 
An abundance of rain is expected to fall late Friday and all Saturday, likely making Viking Field unplayable.

Western's 2022 home opener is now scheduled for March 4 hosting Western Oregon University in a doubleheader at Viking Field starting at noon. The complete 2022 schedule can be viewed online at wwuvikings.com/22_SB.
