BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Western Washington University women's golfer
Megan Billeter has been selected as the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week for competition held March 7-13.
Billeter (Spokane, WA) earned her third GNAC weekly award of the 2021-22 season, also receiving the honor twice during the fall season. Billeter tied for 7th place in the 100-player field at the Fujikura Invitational played March 7-8 at Shadowridge Golf & Country Club in Vista, California.
Her top-10 showing was highlighted by a final round of even-par 72 with six birdies. Billeter led the entire field with eight birdies during the 36-hole tournament.
For the season Billeter has recorded a scoring average of 77.42 (+5.42 to par) and carded a pair of rounds of par or better.

Elise Sumner (tied for 12th) helped lead the Vikings to a 10th-place finish at the 19-team Fujikura Invitational. WWU returns to spring tournament action April 1-1 at the Palm Valley Classic in Goodyear, Arizona.
