LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Western Washington University Track & Field program wrapped up its Southern California road trip at the Beach Invitational Saturday at Jack Rose Track.
WWU's performances were again led by the men's distance crew with another solid race in the 800m.
Drew Weber led the charge just missing his season-best mark clocking 1:51.84 to place 8th.
Mac Franks ran an outdoor personal-best time of 1:51.93 to move into the No. 5 spot in WWU history and
Calahan Warren logged a season-best mark of 1:52.62 for the No. 10 mark in program history.
Matty Lagerwey placed 14th in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 5.71m/18-9 to move up to No. 7 in WWU history.
Jessica Neal cleared a season-best 1.66m/5-5.25 in the high jump to place 11th and had three good attempts at a personal-best mark of 1.71m.
Sophie Wright was just off her personal-best mark in the 800m placing 26th in 2:14.02.
Koby Okezie placed 31st in the 110m hurdles in a season-best time of 14.77 seconds and was also placed in the same spot in the 400m hurdles in 55.76.
