BELLINGHAM, Wash. – With the regular season winding down, the Western Washington University women's soccer is heating up.
The Vikings carry a four-game winning streak into road games this week at Northwest Nazarene (Thursday) and Central Washington (Saturday) in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.
WWU is 7-3-3 overall and is in second place in the GNAC with a 5-1-2 record (17 points) with just six contests remaining in the regular season. After completing its current four-game road trip (2-0 record so far), the Vikings close out the regular season with four consecutive home games at Harrington Field.

The current road trip concludes a grueling stretch of playing four games in three different states (Montana, Idaho, Washington) and one province (British Columbia).
Trailing conference leader Seattle Pacific by one game in the standings, WWU is looking to secure one of the four spots in the GNAC Championships that will be played November 9-11 in Ellensburg.
The Vikings continue to be led by a strong defensive performance ranking fourth in the conference with an 0.85 goals against average and tied for the GNAC lead with six shutouts.
