WAIMEA, Hawai'i – The Western Washington University men's golf team wrapped up a successful fall schedule tying for 10th place at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate.
The Vikings moved up one spot in the leaderboard in Saturday's final round, finishing at 14-over-par 590 to crack the top 10 in the 17-team tournament.
Freshman Nathan Yocam paced the Vikings individually for the third consecutive tournament finishing tied for 20th at even-par 144, carding a 1-under-par 71 in Friday's first round and completed the tournament with a 1-over-par 73. His even-par tournament total tied for 20th in the 92-player field.
Sophomore Peter Dionne-Yahr tied for 33rd place at 3-over-par 147 (73-74) and junior Seth King tied for 46th at 6-over-par 150 (74-76). Junior Matteo Polla carded WWU's lowest final round score with a 1-under-par 71.
Texas-Permian Basin won the team title at 19-under-par 557 for a four-stroke victory over Colorado Christian.
UTPB featured the top two individuals with Sangha Park winning medalist honors at 10-under-par 134 (62-72) and teammate Thonsaeng Nunya finishing 2nd at 6-under-par 138 (72-66).
