BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University softball team's scheduled four-game series vs. Northwest Nazarene this weekend (February 24-25) has been canceled due to unplayable field conditions and weather conditions.
WWU was set to host NNU in a four-game non-conference series at Viking Field, with doubleheaders beginning at 11 am Friday and Saturday in Bellingham.
With expected winter-like weather conditions in the forecast and current unplayable field conditions, the series has been canceled. The two teams will work to figure out if makeup games are possible later in the season.
The Vikings (7-6, 0-0 GNAC) will return to action the weekend of March 3-6, with road doubleheaders at Saint Martin's (3/3) and Simon Fraser (3/5). The complete 2022 WWU Softball schedule, complete with recaps, box scores and team information can be found online at
