TACOMA, Wash. – Led by a school-record performance in the 10,000m by
Andrew Oslin, the Western Washington University Track & Field program officially kicked off its 100th outdoor season Friday at the Ed Boitano Invitational.
Oslin made his WWU outdoor debut breaking the 13-year-old 10,000-meter record running a time of 29:41.91 for the sixth-fastest mark in Great Northwest Athletic Conference history. After leading the Vikings cross country contingent with a 65th-place finish at nationals and an All-GNAC performance in the 5000m at the GNAC Indoor Championships, Oslin made his WWU outdoor debut in style with the record-breaking performance.
