BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University softball team has altered its weekend schedule for the GNAC-opening four-game series vs. Simon Fraser University.
 
The original schedule featured doubleheaders on Saturday (March 11) and Sunday (March 12), but with inclement weather in the forecast the series has been changed to the following:
 

• Thursday, March 9: WWU vs. Simon Fraser, 11 am first pitch (doubleheader)
• Saturday, March 11: WWU vs. Simon Fraser, 11 am first pitch (doubleheader)

 
Both games will feature an 11 am first pitch to avoid any possible situation where games are not completed before darkness falls as there are no lights at Viking Field. With a heavy dose of rain expected Friday in the Bellingham area, a decision for Saturday's game with field conditions at Viking Field will be made early in the day.
