First WECU Night to be Held Thursday vs. SPU with Victor Viking Bobblehead Giveaway

WECU members to receive free admission with up to three guests at WWU women’s game

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Western Washington University will hold the first of two WECU Nights planned for the 2023-24 basketball season this Thursday when the nationally-ranked WWU women's basketball team hosts Seattle Pacific University.
 
WWU carries a perfect 8-0 home record on WECU court into Thursday's 7 pm game vs. SPU. Overall the Vikings are 14-3 with a 6-1 record in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play to sit at No. 2 in the league standings.
 
To celebrate WECU's partnership with WWU Athletics, credit union members will receive up to four free tickets to watch the nationally-ranked Vikings take on the Falcons. WECU members will need to redeem their free tickets at the WWU Box Office (opens at 6 pm) by showing their WECU card.
 
Additionally, the first 250 fans through the doors in Carver Gym will receive a limited edition WWU Viking bobblehead courtesy of WECU.

The second WECU Night will be held for the men's basketball game February 8 vs. Seattle Pacific, with another 250 bobbleheads handed out as a promotion.
 
The game will also serve as a recognition of all the support WECU has given to Western Washington University over the years. WECU has been a tremendous partner with WWU, making an immense impact on the University and the campus community. Since moving back into renovated Carver Gym in 2017, WWU plays all its indoor home athletic events on WECU Court in Carver Gymnasium. WECU has supported scholarships for WWU students through a financial gift that has helped lessen the burden of attending college for students.
 
In addition to the sponsorship of WECU Court in Carver Gym, WECU helps support WWU's annual scholarship luncheons, the Great Puzzle Hunt and Back 2 Bellingham in the spring.
