Student-Athlete Resource Fair Set for October 2

Western Student-Athletes are invited to participate in the "More Than a Student-Athlete" Resource Fair

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will host its second resource fair for Western's nearly 300 student-athletes.
 
The resource fair will be held on Wednesday, October 2 in the Hall of Fame Room in Carver Gymnasium, running from 10:30 am-1:30 pm.
 
Campus clubs and organizations will be on hand share information on how to get more involved in campus activities as well as services that are offered to students on campus.

The event has been planned, implemented, and organized by the WWU Athletics JEDI Committee (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion):

The JEDI Committee has been instrumental in helping plan events to help educate WWU's student-athletes, coaches and athletics staff on diversity and inclusion events, including the following in 2024-25:
  • Mental Health Awareness Game at September 21st volleyball game
  • Disability Awareness Game at October 3rd women's soccer game
  • Pride Night at October 10th volleyball game
  • Latine Heritage Night at October 19th Double header soccer games
  • Unity Game at November 2nd volleyball game
