BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University Men's and Women's Basketball teams will host Viking Jam inside Carver Gym on Tuesday, October 29 to help tip off the 2024-25 season.
The event offers free admission for all fans and is open to everyone. Free parking will be offered in the 9G lot behind Carver Gym and the C lots on the south portion of campus. Fans are encouraged to wear their WWU Blue gear to Viking Jam to celebrate the start of basketball season.
Doors to Carver Gym are scheduled to open at 6 pm with the event on WECU Court beginning at 7 pm. Players on both teams will be available to autograph schedule posters and a special national anthem performed by track & field and cross country student-athlete Jalen Javurek opens the event at 7 pm.
The first 100 WWU students to enter the event will receive a free Blue Crew T-Shirt and a raffle giveaway for two pairs of AirPods will be held near the end of the event.
Planned activities for Viking Jam include the following in a high-energy and exciting atmosphere as the Viking basketball teams get ready for the upcoming 2024-25 basketball season.
