JULIAN HERRING » Midfield » Bellingham, WA » Sehome High School » Snohomish United ECNL
Herring is a 5-10 midfielder that hails from Bellingham and a product of Sehome High School. Herring has strong ties to the Whatcom FC Rangers club playing for nine years before transitioning to Snohomish United ECNL during the final years of his youth soccer career. During his junior season at Sehome he recorded 12 assists and scored eight goals while helping the Mariners qualify for the state championship game. His Rangers team qualified for nationals in 2022 and was a three-year captain for the 2006 Gold team.
Brisbon on Herring:
"Another local product to join the Viking program. Julian is a very good midfielder with a great soccer IQ. His technical ability and willingness to improve will translate into a solid collegiate career for Julian. We are looking forward to Julian joining our current midfield group and create even greater depth at that position."
Herring on joining the WWU program:
"I have grown up watching WWU since I was a kid and I have watched them compete and succeed and want to be part of the team culture."
ZACK ROBERTSON » Forward » Puyallup, WA » Puyallup High School » Washington Premier ECNL
Robertson is a 6-2 striker out of Puyallup High School and a product of Washington Premier FC playing at the ECNL level. He has been a three-time First Team Northwest Conference ECNL selection (2021-24) and at the high school level earned 4A All-Star honors as a junior in 2023. Puyallup High School advanced to the state 4A championship game in 2023 where Robertson led the team in scoring. He has been a consistent captain for both his high school and club programs.
Brisbon on Robertson:
"We are very excited to have Zack join the Viking program. We feel he will fit in great with the program and have a great collegiate career. Zack has a winning mentality, blue collar work rate and can score goals from anywhere on the field. He will be a great addition to our attack."
Robertson on joining the WWU program:
"I am very excited to play soccer at Western because playing soccer at the college level has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid."
