BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Western Washington University juniors
Asia Hardin and
Morgan Manalili have been selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-West Region team.
Hardin became a consensus First Team All-West Region pick in 2024 also earning the honor from the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). Manalili earned second-team honors from both associations.
The WWU duo was part of a group of seven players from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference to earn All-Region honors.
Hardin (West Linn, OR) added yet another award from her strong junior season also earning First Team All-GNAC honors and was a conference and all-district academic award winner. Hardin started all 23 games helping lead the Vikings to a 0.565 goals against average, the 2nd-best mark in the West Region and top 20 in the nation. In three seasons at WWU Hardin has started 68 of 69 possible games and played the full 90 minutes 66 times for 6,090 career minutes played. This is Hardin's second D2CCA All-West Region award earning second-team honors last season.
Manalili (Shoreline, WA) earned her third All-West Region award after winning first-team honors as a freshman and sophomore. The junior midfielder recorded a team-leading eight assists and scored a pair of goals in 2024. In three collegiate seasons Manalili is climbing the WWU charts with 18 goals, 16 assists and 52 points (21st in program history). Manalili joined Hardin as a First Team All-GNAC pick.
WWU concluded the 2024 season with a 14-4-5 overall record advancing to the second round of the NCAA Championships. The Vikings won their 10th GNAC regular-season title doing undefeated in conference play at 11-0-3.
