BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Western Washington University junior catcher Emma Andrewjeski slugged her way to earning the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for games played February 5-11.
 
Andrewjeski, a transfer from BYU that hails from Kahlotus, combined to bat .333 (7-for-21) with three home runs and eight RBI in the Vikings 5-0 performance at the North Bay Classic. Andrewjeski slugged .762 and also scored four runs to help Western continue its perfect start to the season at 9-0.
 
In nine games this season, Andrewjeski is batting .281 (9-for-32) and leads the GNAC with 12 RBI and four home runs. She is also listed No. 8 in the conference with a .656 slugging percentage and third with 21 total bases.
 
Andrewjeski becomes the 100th WWU selection for GNAC Softball Player or Pitcher of the Week since joining the conference in the 2022 season.
 
The Vikings look to continue its perfect start to the season this weekend with the home opener Saturday hosting the University of British Columbia in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 11 am at Viking Field.
