EUGENE, Ore. - The Western Washington University Track & Field program had a pair of competitors in Friday's Oregon Twilight held at historic Hayward Field.
Junior
Katie Potts placed 2nd out of 11 competitors in the shot put with a top mark of 12.83m/42-1.25. Potts also placed 3rd out of 11 competitors in the discus with a top throw of 44.70m/146-8.
Freshman
Liam Wall finished 4th in the men's discus with a throw of 43.29m/142-0.
Potts and Wall will next be in action at the 2024 GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships held May 10-11 at the CWU Recreation Sports Complex in Ellensburg, Washington. Potts is the defending GNAC champion in the discus and has the current top mark in the conference in the discus (46.47m/152-5) and the No. 2 mark in the shot put (13.88m/45-6.5). Wall currently owns the No. 2 mark in the GNAC this season (48.47m/159-0) heading into his first conference championships.
