BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University Volleyball program had seven student-athletes earn a spot on the 2025 GNAC All-Academic Team presented by Barnes & Noble College.
The seven award winners were led by four-time selection senior setter Adele Holland, who has recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.91 while nearing her degree in business administration/marketing. Holland is the second four-time GNAC Academic All-Star in program history joining Chloe Roetcisoender (2019-22).
Senior pin hitters Janelle Grant (3.47, Kinesiology) and Abby May (3.75, Accounting) became three-time selections to the conference all-academic team.
WWU's seven selections tied for third-most by a program in the GNAC, with 61 student-athletes earning honors in 2025.
For the ninth time in program history and second year in a row the WWU volleyball team earned the prestigious AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT in July.
To qualify for academic all-conference, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20, must be in at least their second season competing for their team and must have competed on the course during the 2025 campaign. First-year freshman and redshirt freshman are not eligible for the academic all-conference team.
