BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Senior
Lauren F. Lee closed out the fall portion of the 2025-26 season tying for individual medalist honors at the East Bay Fall Invitational to earn her second GNAC Golfer of the Week award this season.
Lee closed out her successful fall season shooting a 3-under-par 213 (74-69-70) on the par 72, 5,830-yard TPC at Stonebrae. She matched Cal State East Bay's Carlota Eroles atop the field of 82 players.
After posting a 2-over-par 74 her first time through the course, Lee turned it up a notch with a 3-under-par 69 including five birdies in her second round last Monday. She closed the event with a 2-under-par 70 in her final round Tuesday, including an eagle on the par 5, 437-yard 16th hole.
Lee lowered her season scoring average to 72.7 strokes per round – 1.3 strokes per round better than the next-closest GNAC player. She also lowered her career scoring average to 75.39 strokes per round, which is the second-lowest in conference history.
In three fall tournaments, Lee earned all top 15 finishes, including the tie for 1st at the East Bay Fall Invitational and tied for 2nd at the SMU Grisham Memorial Shootout. Dating back to last season's West Regional, Lee has recorded a round of par or better in eight of her last 12 rounds.
The Vikings pick the 2025-26 season back up February 2-3 at the LA Spring Kickoff at Rio Hondo Golf Club in Downey, California. WWU heads into the spring season ranked No. 39 in NCAA Division II and No. 11 in the West Region in the Scoreboard rankings powered by Clippd. Lee is listed as the 10th-ranked women's golfer in the rankings in NCAA Division II.
