BELLINGHAM, Wash. – At times they are mistaken for twins and on the volleyball court they are an incredible outside hitter duo for the Western Washington University volleyball team.

And now Devyn Oestreich and Delaney Speer are All-Americans.

"I cannot be more thrilled that Devyn and Delaney were recognized for their outstanding seasons as All-Americans," said WWU head coach Diane Flick-Williams. "They are very deserving of this honor with all the hard work and dedication they put into not only being great players, but also great leaders and teammates. They join a great legacy of All-American pin hitters in our program, and I can express enough how proud of them I am."

Oestreich was voted a second-team All-American by the AVCA and Speer earned a spot on the NCAA Division II team as an honorable mention selection. Both players were unanimous All-GNAC award winners and First Team All-West Region selections.

Oestreich (Olympia, WA/Capital HS) concluded her collegiate career with a standout senior season, adding All-America honors to regional and conference first-team honors. The outside hitter became the 12th player in program history to earn AVCA All-America honors as a first, second or third-team selection. Oestreich also earned GNAC Player of the Year honors during her senior season that featured a double-double in 18 of 26 matches and team-best statistical marks of 3.87 kills, 3.81 digs per set and 44 service aces.

Speer (Maple Valley, WA/Tahoma HS) started all 26 matches with 19 double-doubles. She was a First Team All-GNAC and First Team All-West Region award winner, to go with her honorable mention All-America honor. Speer averaged 3.58 kills and 3.43 digs per set during her junior season.

The Vikings concluded the 2025 season with a 19-7 overall record, advancing to the NCAA Division II West Regional as the No. 6 seed. The NCAA appearance was the 17th in program history and 11th in last 13 seasons.
