BELLINGHAM, Wash. – After recording her fourth top 10 finish of the season Western Washington University junior
Lauren F. Lee has been selected the GNAC Golfer of the Week.
Lee (Pleasanton, CA/Foothill HS/Biola) won her second GNAC weekly award during the 2024-25 season tying for 7th place in the 86-player field at the LA Spring Kickoff at Rio Hondo Golf Club in Downey, California. Lee recorded a two-round score of 6-over-par 148 on the par 71 layout.
In five tournaments this season Lee has finished in the top 10 four times and ranks 2nd in the GNAC with a season scoring average of 74.9. Lee was also selected as the GNAC Golfer of the Week during the final competition during the fall season, marking back-to-back weeks the Viking junior has earned the award.
"Lauren's game has taken a very solid and consistent step forward this year," said WWU Director of Golf
Luke Bennett. "It starts with her body language and mental strength and staying calm and in the moment has allowed her talent and athleticism to do its thing while she plays. She is driving the ball as well as I've seen her drive it, giving her more scoring opportunities."
WWU returns to action February 24-25 at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout hosted by Cal State East Bay at Corica Park South Course in Alameda, California.
