BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Western Washington University sophomore
Noah Turner has been selected as the GNAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week for competition held March 10-16.
Turner won the shot put competition at the PLU Invitational with an outdoor PR throw of 15.61m/51-2.75 for the best mark amongst GNAC throwers this season. Turner also set a PR in the discus competition placing 3rd with a throw of 43.53m/142-10 ranking 6th in the GNAC.
The sophomore has won the shot put competition at the in back-to-back GNAC Indoor Championships in 2024 and 2025.
WWU Track & Field has had 11 GNAC Athlete of the Week award winners so far during the 2024-25 indoor and outdoor seasons.
