BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University men's golf has extended its amazing streak of qualifying for the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships to 26 consecutive seasons.
WWU was announced as the No. 9 seed in the West Region and will compete in the 20-team NCAA II West/South Central Super Regional that will be held May 8-10 at Victoria Club in Riverside, California. Cal State San Bernardino will serve as the tournament host for the 54-hole tournament. The Vikings have advanced to play in the regional tournament in all 26 seasons eligible since joining the NCAA level in 1998-99.

The strong finish to the season featured the Vikings finishing 4th (of 14 teams) at The Stack Cougar-Burro Collegiate, 3rd (of 15 teams) at the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational and 2nd (of 5 teams) at the GNAC Championships.
Senior David Sibbett leads the team with a stroke average of 71.0 (-1 to par) with 10 of 14 rounds at-or-under par since joining the active roster for the spring portion of the season. Junior Peter Dionne-Yahr has a 72.6 scoring average (+1 to par) with a pair of top 10 finishes and sophomore Nick Ennis is coming off a runner-up finish at the GNAC Championships.
