BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University men's golf team was well-represented on the 2024-25 GNAC All-Conference Team.

The Vikings had four players earn All-GNAC honors, including three first-team selections, and Director of Golf Luke Bennett was selected as the GNAC co-Coach of the Year.

Senior David Sibbett earned a pair of awards earning First Team All-GNAC honors and was voted as the Newcomer of the Year. Junior Peter Dionne-Yahr and sophomore Nick Ennis joined Sibbett as first-team selections. Freshman Michael Killmer was a Second Team All-GNAC pick fueled by his 5th-place finish at the GNAC Championships. WWU tied conference champion Simon Fraser with three First Team All-GNAC selections.

Sibbett (Tacoma, WA/Highline College) led the GNAC with a 71.0 scoring average while appearing in five spring events. He tallied 10 of 14 rounds at-or-under-par and recorded a pair of top 5 finishes, including winning the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational. Sibbett is the seventh player in program history to claim the Newcomer of the Year honor and first since Seth King in 2022.

Dionne-Yahr (Kent, WA/Kentwood HS) repeated as a first-team all-conference selection after ranking sixth in the GNAC with a 72.6 scoring average. He played in all 10 events (27 rounds) for the Vikings while recording 14 rounds of par-or-better during the regular season.

Ennis (Everett, WA/Saint Martin's) was a strong contender for the Newcomer of the Year award after transferring from Saint Martin's. The sophomore had a strong finish to the season tying for 2nd place at the GNAC Championships with a three-round score of even-par 213 (73-69-71). Ennis was a second team selection as a freshman in 2023-24 while playing for the Saints.

Killmer (Bakersfield, CA/Highland HS) logged a scoring average of 74.6 during his collegiate debut season, highlighted by a 5th-place finish at the GNAC Championships with a score of 1-over-par 214 (76-70-68).

Bennett shared the Coach of the Year honor with Simon Fraser's Krysta Schaus, marking the seventh time and fourth consecutive year he has been recognized by his peers as the league's top coach.

The Vikings continue their postseason schedule as the No. 9 seed in the West Region competing May 8-10 in the West/South Central Regional at Victoria Club in Riverside, California. WWU has a streak of advancing to the NCAA postseason in 26 consecutive seasons.
