Vikings Drop Road Tilt at Cal State Dominguez Hills

WWU strikes first with early first-half goal, but Toros answer with pair of goals to earn home victory

CARSON, Calif. – The Western Washington University men's soccer team continued its tough early-season non-conference schedule Thursday evening, dropping a 2-1 decision to Cal State Dominguez Hills at Toro Stadium.

WWU (0-2-1) got off to a great start when senior forward Frank Miedema scored his second goal in as many games late in the 12th minute, heading home a shot from freshman Jose Perez at the 11:55 mark.

The Toros (2-1-0) equalized in the 22nd minute on a goal by Cameron Belandres and put the game winner in the back of the net in the 74th minute when Ramiro Rosas connected on a left-footed shot into the lower left corner just eluding WWU goalkeeper Charlie Dyer.
