BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Led by four student-athletes earning their third award, the Western Washington University volleyball program had nine student-athletes earn GNAC All-Academic honors for the 2026 season.
WWU tied its program record for GNAC Academic All-Stars, equaling the 2010 and 2024 seasons. Since the award originated in 2001, WWU has had 136 all-academic honorees.
Seniors Delaney Speer (3.37, Kinesiology), Finnley Claeys (3.49, Mathematics), Emily Vossenkuhl (3.55, Psychology) and Caroline Hansen (3.37, Kinesiology) were part of a group of 19 GNAC student-athletes to become three-time award winners.
There were 81 total GNAC All-Academic awards distributed for the 2026 season, with 39 repeat winners and 41 newcomers. Sophomore sports psychology major Chayse Flick-Williams was one of 14 all-academic selections with a perfect 4.00 GPA.
To qualify for academic all-conference, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20, must be in at least their second season competing for their team and must have competed in a match during the 2026 campaign. Freshmen and redshirt freshmen are not eligible for the academic all-conference team.
