BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Senior
Lauren F. Lee earned her third GNAC Golfer of the Week award this season following her winning performance at the Fujikura Invitational.
Lee finished the 54-hole tournament at 5-over-par 221 tied with Cal State San Marcos freshman Carmella Carlisi, and won the playoff on the first hole making par on No. 18. Lee's tournament performance included rounds of 75 (+3), 71 (-1) and 75 (+3) at Shadowridge Golf Club to stand atop the leaderboard earning the victory. The senior also tied for individual medalist honors at the East Bay Fall Invitational in the fall.
Through the first six tournaments of the 2025-26 season, Lee is leading the GNAC with a scoring average of 73.7, totaling six rounds of par or better throughout the season.
The Golfer of the Week award is the fifth of her WWU career (third this season) to tie for second-most in program history trailing only the eight by Jenn Paul.
