BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University Track & Field program had 30 student-athletes earn All-Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The top five individuals in each event and the top three relay teams in each region earned All-Region honors. WWU competes in the West Region with programs from the GNAC, CCAA and PacWest. WWU had 19 men's athletes earn all-region awards and 11 on the women's team.
Several Vikings featured the top time/mark in the region, including men's team members Calvin Gutierrez in the weight throw, Connor Inman in the shot put, Gabe Menicke in the triple jump and Eli Williams in the mile. Women's team members with the top region ranking included Sydney Mohlman in the pole vault and the 4x400 relay team that earned First Team All-America honors placing 7th at indoor nationals.
