BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Senior
Lauren F. Lee earned her fourth GNAC Golfer of the Week award this season following her runner-up performance at last week's The Big Freeze.
Lee recorded her fourth top two finish of the 2025-26 season, tying for runner-up honors at the 36-hole tournament played at Richmond Country Club in the Bay Area. Lee posted a tournament score of even-par 144 with rounds of 70 (-2) and 74 (+2), which included a pair of eagles.
The senior lowered her season scoring average to 73.5 strokes per round, which is an entire stroke lower than the next-closest GNAC player. She was ranked No. 26 nationally and eighth in the NCAA Division II West Region in the latest Clippd Scoreboard listing. She has a pair of tournament wins and two runner-up finishes in seven tournaments this season.
The Golfer of the Week award is the sixth of her WWU career (fourth this season) to move into the No. 2 spot in program history trailing only the eight by Jenn Paul.
