COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho – Senior Lauren F. Lee holds the individual lead and the Western Washington University women's golf team is alone in second place through the first two rounds of the 2026 GNAC Golf Championships at Coeur d'Alene Golf Resort.
WWU showed a five-stroke improvement from Monday's opening round, firing a 16-over-par 304 to take sole possession of the second team spot on the leaderboard. The Vikings entered the second round of the three-round, 54-hole tournament in a three-way tie for second place. Western sits at 37-over-par 613 to trail three-time defending tournament champion Simon Fraser (+29, 605) by eight strokes.
Lee shot a 2-over-par round of 74 to back up her even-par 72 on Monday to take over the top spot on the leaderboard in the 29-player field at 2-over-par 146. Lee holds a two-stroke advantage over former teammate Lauren J. Lee of Seattle Pacific (+4, 148).
Freshman Carly Ikei match Lee with a 2-over-par 74 in the second round to climb the leaderboard six spots to move into 7th place at 8-over-par 152 (78-74). Senior Kasey Maralack shot a 4-over-par 76 in the second round and is tied for 11th place at 10-over-par 154.
Wednesday's final round is set to start at 7:30 pm with tee times off hole No. 1. The Vikings will be paired with Seattle Pacific and Simon Fraser beginning at 8:20 am. Inclement weather is expected in the Coeur d'Alene area, so visit GNACSports.com with any weather delay updates.

The winner of the championship event receives an automatic berth to the NCAA II West Regional Championships held May 4-6 at Pueblo Country Club in Pueblo, Colorado.
