Sheryl Gilmore was a guest of The Zone on Tuesday previewing the upcoming NCAA West Regional Championships.
The Vikings are headed to the Bay Area as the No. 7 seed in the West, and will face No. 1 seed and sub-regional host Cal State East Bay on Thursday at noon.
WWU is making its third consecutive trip to the NCAA postseason after winning back-to-back West Region titles in 2024 and 2025, advancing to the Final Four of the D2 World Series both years.
The 2026 squad is 34-20 overall and is coming off a third consecutive GNAC Tournament title to automatically punch its ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
