BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University men's golf duo of junior Conrad Brown and sophomore Rex Wilson earned PING All-West Region honors as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Brown and Wilson – both natives of Burlington that grew up playing Skagit Golf & Country Club – were part of a 12-player West Region award class, with the Vikings joining Cal State San Bernardino, Chico State and Hawai'i Hilo as the schools with two award winners.
In addition to the All-West Region honor, Brown earned PING First Team All-America honors and is one of five finalists for the Jack Nicklaus Award presented to the NCAA Division II Player of the Year.
The duo helped lead the Vikings a convincing victory at the 2026 GNAC Championships and delivered the West Regional title with Brown earning individual medalist honors. WWU tied for 16th place at the NCAA National Championship after making their 27th consecutive trip to the regional tournament.
Brown led the GNAC with a scoring average of 70.6 (-1 to par) with 24 of 32 rounds at or under par and nine top-10 finishes. In addition to winning the West Regional title he took home individual medalist honors at the Otter Invitational in October. Brown was selected as the GNAC Player of the Year and earned the third All-GNAC award of his career.
