Career Highlights (2021):
- Was a double winner in the 5,000m and 10,000m (31:11.96) at the 2021 GNAC Outdoor Championships, becoming the second conference athlete to accomplish this joining Marko Cheseto (UAA) in 2010. Hamel's time in that 5,000m was 14:39.87, 4th best in program history.
- Ran an earlier season 10,000m in 30:17.34, 6th best in program history.
2020:
- Placed 10th in the 5,000m at the GNAC Indoor Championships with a time of 15:23.90
- Placed 15th in the 3,000m at the GNAC Indoor Championships with a time of 8:54.31
2019:
- Placed 4th in 10,000m at the GNAC Outdoor Championships with a time of 32:25.54
2018:
- Placed 4th in the 5,000m at the GNAC Indoor Championships with a time of 15:17.86
- Placed 16th in the 3,000m at the GNAC Indoor Championships with a time of 8:50.35
- Ran an earlier season 5,000m in 14:56.19, 9th best in indoor program history
