Freshman rower joining the team for the 2018 season ... competed for the Alaska Pacific University Nordic Ski Center Junior Program during her prep career ... participated in cross country and nordic skiing at East Anchorage High School ... rowed with Anchorage Rowing Association for two summers prior to joining the WWU program ... mother rowed for the University of Puget Sound.

Fun facts: Rachael has won a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete Award…. Placed third at WIRAs in the V4…. Placed second at NCAA Championship in the V4…. She has been rowing for four years…. Chose Western because of Huxley College and the rowing team’s reputation as a national powerhouse…. Favorite sport to watch is cross country skiing because she grew up skiing and also competed in high school…. Favorite TV show is Gilmore Girls…. Favorite sports team is the U.S. Cross Country Ski Team…. If she could only eat one food for the rest of her life it would be strawberries… Dream car is a cool-gray Subaru Crosstrek…. Easiest subject in school is science…. Most challenging subject in school is creative writing…. Dream destination is either Argentina, Greece or Norway…. Her friends nicknamed her “Rach”….. Favorite restaurant is Moose’s Tooth Pub, located in Anchorage, Alaska….. Go-to study spot on campus is Academic West.
