BELLINGHAM, Wash. - For the third straight year, Western Washington University is the Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Sports Champion.

The Vikings won the overall title outpointing runner-up Western Oregon 160-142.

Western also edged the Wolves 76-72 to win its third consecutive men's title. Seattle Pacific took the women's title, finishing eight points ahead of the two-time defending champion Vikings. The Falcons finished with 92 points.

Points are awarded based on the final conference finishes in each of the conference's 14 sports - football, volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track and field, men's and women's outdoor track and field, baseball and softball.

Five of the conference's 10 schools won at least one conference team title, led by Seattle Pacific and Western Oregon with four each. The Falcons won titles in women's cross country, women's soccer, women's basketball and women's indoor track and field. The Wolves won titles in men's and women's outdoor track and field, baseball and men's indoor track and field.

Western won championships in volleyball, football and men's cross country. Humboldt State claimed titles in softball and men's basketball, and Seattle University was the men's soccer titlist.
