Spokane, WA - For the second straight year, Western Washington University is the Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Sports Team Champion.

The Vikings swept both the men's and women's titles, edging Humboldt State 58-55 in the men's competition and outpointing Seattle Pacific and Central Washington 89-69 in the women's competition.

Western won the overall competition with 147 points. Western Oregon finished second in the overall standings with 117 points, two ahead of Humboldt State and four ahead of Central Washington.

Points are awarded (on a two-point increment) based on the final conference finishes in each of the conference's 12 sports - football, volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's track & field, baseball and softball - sponsored by the conference.

Seven of the conference's 10 schools won at least one conference title, led by Humboldt State and Western Oregon with three each. The Lumberjacks won titles in women's cross country and softball and shared the men's basketball title with Alaska Fairbanks. WOU won titles in baseball and men's and women's track-and-field.

Western Washington (volleyball, men's soccer) and Seattle Pacific (women's soccer, women's basketball) each won two championships. Alaska Anchorage (men's cross country), Central Washington (football) and Alaska Fairbanks (men's basketball) each won one.

Men - 1. Western Washington 58; 2. Humboldt State 55; 3. Western Oregon 52; 4. Central Washington 44; 5. Seattle Pacific 36; 6. Alaska Anchorage and Northwest Nazarene 34; 8. Seattle 32; 9. Alaska Fairbanks 21; 10. Saint Martin's 14.

Women - 1. Western Washington 89; 2. Seattle Pacific and Central Washington 69; 4. Western Oregon 65; 5. Humboldt State 60; 6. Northwest Nazarene 44; 7. Seattle 43; 8. Alaska Anchorage 38; 9. Alaska Fairbanks 35; 10. Saint Martin's 24.
