	Named to Washington State High School Coaches Hall of Fame (1988) Named Whatcom County Sports Personality of the Year (1989) Taught and coached 32 years at Lynden High School 1957 graduate of Western, competing in cross-country and baseball Head baseball coach for 24 years (282- 153-2), winning 12 Whatcom County League titles and making eight Class A state playoff appearances Named state's Coach of the Year in 1973 and 1976 Head football coach for 17 years (141-32-2), winning state championship and being named state Coach of the Year in 1980 Assistant basketball coach for 23 years, the Lions posting a 368-80 record and winning two state titles during that tenure
