Biography

WWU Career: A creative attacking winger who made 78 collegiate appearances including 54 games and 49 starts over three seasons as a Viking following one season at D1 Saint Mary's College ... As a Viking, scored 10 goals and provided seven assists for 27 career points, with his four game-winning goals ranking in WWU's all-time top-20 ... Recorded 72 shots and 31 shots on goal, the latter being a top-20 mark in program history ... All-GNAC selection in all three of his seasons as a Viking and a two-time All-Academic selection ... had one of the best debut campaigns in recent WWU memory, scoring four (three game-winners) and assisting five in 2022 en-route to a unanimous First-Team All-GNAC selection.

2024 (Senior):
  • All-GNAC Second Team selection.
  • GNAC All-Academic selection.
  • GNAC Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 2-9).
  • Appeared in all 18 games for the Vikings, making 15 starts.
  • Tied a career high with four goals while also adding an assist for nine total points, third most on the Vikings.
  • Scored the game-winner in a 1-0 season-opening victory against #18 Chico State (9/5).
  • Recorded his first collegiate brace in a 7-2 win against Saint Martin's (10/12), scoring both goals in the last 90 seconds of the match.
  • Drew a last-minute penalty which was converted for the game-winner against Seattle Pacific (10/24).

2023 (Junior):
  • All-GNAC Honorable-Mention.
  • GNAC All-Academic selection.
  • Appeared in all 18 games, starting in 16 for a total of 1,120 minutes played.
  • Scored twice and assisted once for 5 total points on the season.
  • Recorded 22 shots, eight of them on target.
  • Scored and assisted during 3-0 home-opening win against the Colorado School of mines (9/14).

2022 (Sophomore):
  • Started in 18 of the teams 19 games during his first WWU season
  • Finished second on the team and tied for seventh in the GNAC with 13 points
  • First Team All-GNAC unanimous selection
  • Tied for the team lead with five assists
  • Second leading scorer on the team with four goals
  • Scored three game winning goals, tied for the most on the team
Prior to WWU: Rotter joins the Vikings after playing two seasons at Saint Mary's College in Moraga, California ... appeared in 24 games, making 11 starts with the Gaels in 2020 (spring 2021) and 2021 ... scored a pair of goals during the spring 2021 season, including the game-winner vs. Santa Clara ... earned a spot on the West Coast Conference All-Freshman Team ... WCC Offensive Player of the Week for February 17-21 ... prior to his two seasons at Saint Mary's, Rotter was a three-sport standout in soccer, basketball and cross country at Auburn Mountainview High School ... during prep career scored 25 goals with 12 assists, earning NPSL 4A First Team All-League and MVP honors as a junior ... played club for PacNW out of Starfire in Tukwila ... older brother, Christian, played for the Vikings from 2016-19, and younger brother, Ryan, is a freshman in 2022.
