Rhaney Harris enters her first season as the Director of Player Development for the Western Washington University softball program in 2025-26, bringing with her a growing resume that includes three years of collegiate coaching experience. She most recently served as the assistant coach at Cal Poly Humboldt, following a previous assistant coaching role at Central Washington University.

A graduate of Omak High School, Harris began her collegiate playing career at Bellevue College, where she pitched two seasons (2017–2019) under coach Leah Francis, who is now on staff at WWU. During her standout sophomore season, she was named a First Team North Region selection and earned NFCA First Team All-American honors. Harris transferred to Concordia University in Portland before the university’s closure in early 2020, after which she completed her playing career at Central Washington . There, she earned All-GNAC and GNAC All-Academic honors in both seasons.

Harris holds a bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Sport Management (2021) and a master’s degree in Sport and Athletic Administration (2023), both from CWU. In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, she has worked as a mental performance coach for young female athletes over the past three years, focusing on mindset, confidence, and competitive preparation.
