Joined the Track & Field program as a distance coach in January 2025. Johnson is an accomplished coach and former athlete with a deep history in the Pacific Northwest running community.

Johnsen competed as a student-athlete at Washington State University in cross country and track. After, he transitioned into coaching, serving as a volunteer assistant for WSU's distance program, helping multiple athletes qualify for NCAA Regional and National Championships.

After returning to his hometown of Bellingham, Conner began coaching at his alma mater, Sehome High School, where he played a pivotal role in maintaining the program's excellence in distance running. For his efforts, Conner was named the 2023 Washington State Cross Country Assistant Coach of the Year after both Sehome boys & girls won their respective state titles.
