SEATTLE, Wash. - The Western Washington University women set four indoor track and field school records Saturday at the University of Washington Indoor No.2 at Dempsey Indoor.
Freshman Ellie Siler (Spokane/Lewis & Clark) was involved in two of the new standards, lowering her own record in the 200 meters with a time of 26.01, and also running a leg of the 4x100 relay that posted a time of 4:01.18. Also on the quartet were Heidi Dimmitt (Sr., Wenatchee), Megan O'Connell (Sammamish/Skyline) and Devon King (Fr., East Wenatchee/Eastmont).
Another freshman improving her own school record was Emily Warman (Sedro-Woolley), who went 18-7 3/4 in the long jump, improving on her NCAA Division II national provisional qualifying standard and school record by four inches.
The fourth WWU record was set by Rachel Johnson (So., Yakima/West Valley), who ran a time of 2:17.11 in the 800.
The Western men also posted a school record, with Augustine Agyei (Jr., Aurora, CO/Smoky Hill) having a time of 7.02 in the 60 meters.
Ryan Brown (So., Bellingham/Squalicum) achieved a national provisional mark in the pole vault, clearing 15-7 1/4.
The Vikings next compete on Sunday, Feb. 15, at the UW Indoor No.3.
